August 3, 2016 – Luke 4

God listens to our prayers, Jesus relates to each and every one of us. When we tell of our worries and concerns to Jesus as we develop our relationship and understanding of God we know the Jesus has endured the things of the world and was tested just like we are.

In Luke 4, we read Satan tempted Jesus for 40 days. During this time Jesus was in the wilderness and ate nothing. The devil constantly questioned Jesus, If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” (Luke 4:3) To which Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’” (Luke 4:4)

During our times of testing, I know I have been tested with the circumstances I have endured in my life. It doesn’t even compare to what Jesus endured. Though, I know that if we retain knowledge of the scripts and rely on God’s strength will be be kept safe.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” ~ Psalm 145:18

God listen’s to our prayers and as long a we call out to him everyday he will listen to our concerns and show us the way of his will.

“Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea, hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught, because of what my enemy is saying, because of the threats of the wicked; for they bring down suffering on me and assail me in their anger.” ~ Psalm 55:1-3.
